Estate Planning Basics by Attorney Robert Monahan. In-Person

Be “Strong to the Finish”: Learn the Secret Language of Estate Plans!

Lawyers write estate plans in what seems like a “secret code,” harder to follow than a treasure map.

We'll focus on the key provisions in Popeye the Sailor Man’s trust, will and powers of attorney and "decode" the meaning of the language.

By the end of this presentation, you'll know what Popeye did to make sure Olive Oyl, Wimpy and Swee'Pea got all of his spinach, and you'll be able to outsmart any Blutos who try to steal your inheritance.

Why is it important to understand the language of estate planning documents?

In this presentation, your will learn about the following:

  • The different types of estate planning documents
  • The key provisions in each type of document
  • The meaning of the language used in estate planning documents

This presentation is for anyone who is interested in learning more about estate planning, especially the wording of estate planning documents. It is also for anyone who already has an estate plan and wants to make sure they understand it.
