Essential Software Skills: Microsoft Word - Digital Skills Workshop In-Person
Learners will be skilled at navigating Microsoft Word to open a new or existing document in order to create a document for a specific purpose, editing text and page formatting in Microsoft Word in order to produce a professional looking document, identifying the purpose of various parts of the Microsoft Word Window in order to complete a specific word processing task, and printing and saving Microsoft Word Documents in order to share them and/or come back to them later.
This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP0214 awarded to Lake County by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Residents must meet at least one of the following conditions under the U.S. Treasury guidelines to participate in this program. Individuals and households may qualify based on income if they fall within the low to moderate income category. The income limits are as follows: for a one-person household, the limit is $42,445; for a two-person household, the limit is $52,260; for a three-person household, the limit is $65,880; for a four-person household, the limit is $79,500; for a five-person household, the limit is $93,120; and for a six-person household, the limit is $106,740. Households or individuals who experienced unemployment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Individuals who faced increased food insecurity due to the pandemic, meaning they had greater difficulty accessing enough food or food of adequate quality to meet their needs. Households or individuals who experienced increased housing insecurity, struggling to obtain stable or adequate housing because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Households or individuals who qualify for certain assistance programs, including those enrolled in the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), those receiving childcare subsidies through the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) Program, and those who qualify for Medicaid.
